Periodic CPC

We are now authorised by the DVSA to deliver HGV & PCV DCPC courses - 35 hours.

Any driver who drives a vehicle over 3.5T must have an up to date DCPC card, they must do this by completing 35 hours of training every 5 years.

You can relax in the comfort of your own home, or work place and still complete your mandatory hours.

You MUST have a reliable internet connection and a working forward facing camera and microphone on the device you are using to complete the course. We will send joining instructions prior to the course to make sure you are fully prepared.

We have a range of courses available.

What is Driver CPC? The vehicle Drivers (Certificate of Professional Competence) Regulations came into effect in 2007 following the Driver CPC EU Directive in 2003. This affects all professional HGV & PCV drivers. For new drivers there is a new initial qualification, which increases the amount of knowledge that drivers need before they can drive. This initial qualification will involve a four-hour theory test and a two-hour practical driving test. PCV drivers holding D, D1, D+E, or D1+E prior to 10 September 2008, as well as HGV drivers holding C, C1, C+E or C1+E prior to 10 September 2009, would not require the tests, however; All professional drivers will have to undertake 35 hours of periodic training every five years to ensure that their driver CPC is current.

For any drivers who have just passed their licence, they will need to complete an Initial Driver CPC, prior to completing 35 hours.
